Continental Hotel Lausanne

I stayed there for 3 nights. Small room but had everything you need with modern standards. The bed was comfortable and the shower was really good. My room faced away from the street and was very quiet. Everything was clean and the staff was lovely. The location was my favourite part, just across the street from the train station and the metro was just a few steps away. I loved that the hotel gives you free access to the metro and busses. Cafés and restaurants in walking distance. Would stay there again!

The location opposite the main station is what made me choose this hotel to stay at many years ago. Now, having stayed here at least a dozen times whenever I am in town for work, the hotel certainly doesn't disappoint. The rooms have been refreshed and modernized tastefully and sensibly, with useful touches such as USB points by the bedside and at the desk to charge your stuff. Just bring your cable. Breakfast is good, and in a nice brightly lit cafe overlooking the main station. Staff are great!

The location is perfect and it was very quiet. The room and the bed are spacious. The Aircon in our room is very new, an inverter. Europe is getting hotter every year so a good Aircon is very important. We have a big balcony so if we want fresh air, we can open the door.

This hotel ticks all the good boxes, such as a wide comfortable room with a classic furniture. The toilet and the bathroom are separate. The breakfast was good but not perfect. The staff are very nice and welcoming, especially Manon (I hope it's the correct name) of the lady who checked us in. The balcony was a huge advantage, and the natural light was just perfect in our room.

I was welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who, when not finding my reservation, discovered that I had booked the wrong month! She took care of it immediately, without complications. As I had to leave at 5:30AM, I was served coffee and croissant in the lobby from a very cordial night staffer. I'll be back!
